Three Spark Ring – Three Zirconia on a Polished 999 Fine Silver Band

Three clear zirconia, each 1.8mm across, sit spaced along a slim polished band that curves and narrows rather than running perfectly straight. The stones are set into small raised points, so each one catches light on its own instead of blurring into a line. The band stands 2.8mm at its highest and the ring weighs 1.03g. The metal is 999 fine silver at 99.9% purity, stamped 足银 999 inside.

The band is open at the back and flexes across roughly UK M to O. Three spaced stones is a deliberately restrained amount of sparkle – enough to read as jewellery across a room, not enough to look like a dress ring at a desk. 1. Are the stones diamonds?
No, and we would not describe them as such. They are clear zirconia, 1.8mm each – a bright, hard, man-made stone. Our reasoning is set out in Not All Sparkle Is Diamond.

2. What is 足银 999?
The Chinese mark for fine silver – 99.9% pure, against 92.5% for sterling. It is whiter and brighter than sterling, and softer. Compared side by side in our 925 vs S925 guide.

3. Will the stones stay put in soft fine silver?
They are set into raised points formed in the metal rather than glued. Fine silver is soft, so avoid knocking the stones against hard surfaces and take the ring off for gym equipment, DIY and washing up.

4. How do I keep the zirconia bright?
Hand cream and skin oils dull stones faster than anything else. A soft dry cloth after wear usually does it – more in JewelCare™ and on the Silver Care Card.
