The band on this ring is drawn in fine lengthwise ribs, so it reads as several slender strands lying side by side rather than one flat surface. Three small flowers sit across the front, each about 2.6mm, breaking up the ribbing without rising far off the finger. The band stands 2.1mm high and the whole ring weighs 1g, which puts it firmly in stacking territory. It is 925 sterling silver, stamped S925 inside.

The band is left open at the back and flexes across roughly UK M to O. No – weight follows size. This is a slim 2.1mm band, so there is less metal in it than in a broad one. UK hallmarking is only required at 7.78g and above, so a light silver ring carrying a maker’s S925 stamp rather than an assay office hallmark is entirely normal.

2. Will the ribbing catch on clothing?
The ribs are shallow and run lengthwise around the band rather than standing proud, so there is nothing to snag. The flowers are the highest point and they sit low.

3. How do I adjust it?
Ease the band open or closed with your fingers, holding it near the opening rather than across the flowers. Sterling silver takes this well, though any adjustable band prefers a few careful movements to constant resizing.

4. How do I clean the ribbed surface?
