Peach Blossom Vine Ring – A Single Bloom on a Twisted Band

One five-petal peach blossom sits at the centre of this ring, about 5mm across, with a finely textured centre that catches light against the polished petals around it. Leaves run out to either side along a band that twists rather than sits flat, so the whole piece reads as a length of vine that happens to close into a circle. The metal is 999 fine silver at 99.9% purity, and the ring weighs 0.96g.

The band is open at the back and flexes across roughly UK M to O. The peach blossom is one of the most specific flowers in Chinese decorative tradition – it opens before the leaves arrive, at the very start of spring, and it has stood for renewal and long life for centuries because of that timing. It is a quieter piece than a stone ring and carries more meaning, which is a combination worth knowing about when you are choosing a gift. More at JewelGift™.

✨ Tips of the Motif - The Peach Blossom

The peach blossom opens before its own leaves, at the very front of spring, and Chinese tradition has read that timing as renewal and long life since at least the Tang dynasty, when peach-blossom motifs appeared on mirrors and hairpins. It is a flower about arriving early rather than blooming loudest – a thoughtful gift for her at a fresh start. More motif meanings at JewelMotif™ · Watch & read: Silver, The Moon Metal

💡 925 or 足银 999 – what the stamp actually means

This ring is stamped 足银 999, the Chinese mark for fine silver. 925 (also written S925 or Ag925) is sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% copper added for hardness, which is why it holds a ring shape without bending. 足银 999 is fine silver at 99.9% pure – brighter, softer and warmer in tone. Both are real silver; the difference is durability, not authenticity. We explain the marks in full in our 925 vs S925 guide, and day-to-day care lives on the Silver Care Card.

FAQs

1. What does the peach blossom symbolise?
Renewal, spring and long life, chiefly in Chinese tradition, because the tree flowers before it leafs. It is a symbol about beginnings rather than romance. We cover motifs like this at JewelMotif™.

2. Is 999 fine silver the same as sterling?
No. 999 is 99.9% pure silver; sterling is 92.5% with copper added to harden it. Fine silver is brighter and whiter but softer, so it is well suited to an adjustable band and less suited to holding a heavy stone. Side by side in our 925 vs S925 guide.

3. How do I adjust it without flattening the vine?
Hold the band at the plain section near the opening, not across the flower or leaves, and ease it open or closed a little at a time. Fine silver moves willingly, which is the point of an adjustable band – but it prefers a few deliberate adjustments to constant resizing.

4. Will the textured flower centre hold dirt?
A little, over time, as any texture does. A soft dry brush lifts it out. Skip dips and ultrasonic cleaners – the Silver Care Card has the safe method.

How to Style the Peach Blossom Vine Ring

The twisted band gives this ring movement that a flat band does not have, so it deserves room to be seen – worn alone on the ring or middle finger, or beside one plain slim band. Explore the 925 Sterling Silver collection, the full Rings range, or read more about symbols at JewelLearn™.

Caring for Your 925 Sterling Silver Piece

925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver — a precious metal that develops a natural patina over time. With regular gentle care it stays bright and lustrous for years.

Daily wear Remove before showering, swimming, and exercise where possible
Tarnish Natural and normal — polish with a silver cloth to restore shine
Cleaning Soft silver polishing cloth or mild soap and warm water, dry immediately
Storage Store in an airtight pouch or zip bag — air causes tarnishing
Avoid Chlorine, saltwater, perfume, hairspray, and rubber
