Single Flower Ring – One Bloom on a Fine 999 Silver Band

A single four-petal flower, 3.5mm across, sits at the front of a band that is only 1.5mm high – about as slim as a ring can be and still hold its shape. Small leaf forms run out to either side of the bloom, tapering into the band so the whole thing reads as one continuous line rather than a flower attached to a hoop. The ring weighs 0.96g in 999 fine silver, 99.9% pure, stamped 足银 999 inside.

The band is open at the back and flexes across roughly UK M to O. This is the quietest ring in the range, which is exactly its use: it can be worn every day without thought, and stacked with anything because it competes with nothing. Fine silver is the whitest and brightest of the silvers – more on why in Silver: The Moon Metal.

✨ Tips of the Motif - The Four Petals

Four petals divide a circle into quarters, which is why the four-petal flower turns up in tilework and textiles from Persia to China – it is a whole thing split evenly, standing for balance and the four directions. On a ring that reads as steadiness rather than romance. A calm gift for her when you want the meaning understated. 💡 925 or 足银 999 – what the stamp actually means

This ring is stamped 足银 999, the Chinese mark for fine silver. 925 (also written S925 or Ag925) is sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% copper added for hardness, which is why it holds a ring shape without bending. 足银 999 is fine silver at 99.9% pure – brighter, softer and warmer in tone. Both are real silver; the difference is durability, not authenticity. We explain the marks in full in our 925 vs S925 guide, and day-to-day care lives on the Silver Care Card.

FAQs

1. Is a 1.5mm band strong enough to wear daily?
Yes, with a little care. It is a fine band in a soft metal, so it will flex if you grip something hard – take it off for the gym, heavy lifting and DIY, and it will hold its shape indefinitely.

2. Why is there no UK hallmark?
UK law requires hallmarking on silver articles of 7.78g and above. This ring is 0.96g, so it is exempt. The 足银 999 stamp inside is the maker’s fineness mark recording the purity.

3. Can I stack it with wider rings?
That is where it works best. At 1.5mm it sits flush against almost anything without crowding, and two or three together read as one fine textured line.

4. How do I clean around the petals?
A soft dry cloth, and a soft dry brush for the recesses in the flower. No dips or ultrasonic cleaners – see the Silver Care Card.

How to Style the Single Flower Ring

Caring for Your 925 Sterling Silver Piece

925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver — a precious metal that develops a natural patina over time. With regular gentle care it stays bright and lustrous for years.

Daily wear Remove before showering, swimming, and exercise where possible
Tarnish Natural and normal — polish with a silver cloth to restore shine
Cleaning Soft silver polishing cloth or mild soap and warm water, dry immediately
Storage Store in an airtight pouch or zip bag — air causes tarnishing
Avoid Chlorine, saltwater, perfume, hairspray, and rubber
