Leaf Vine Ring – Polished 999 Fine Silver with Three Clear Zirconia

Pointed leaves alternate with three small clear zirconia along the front of this 3mm band, so the sparkle is spaced rather than massed – the effect is a vine catching light at intervals instead of a solid line of stones. Unlike the matt blossom bands, this one is finished glossy, which suits the stones and gives the leaves a defined edge. The metal is 999 fine silver, 99.9% pure, at 1.05g.

The band is open at the back and flexes across roughly UK M to O. Leaf and vine motifs have been jewellery’s shorthand for growth and continuity since Greek and Roman wreaths – something that keeps going rather than something that arrives. That makes it a natural piece for an anniversary or a graduation. If you want to know why we use zirconia and say so plainly, we wrote about it in Not All Sparkle Is Diamond.

✨ Tips of the Motif - The Vine

The Greeks gave laurel to winners and the Romans carried the vine into rings and cuffs, where a leafy branch stood for something still growing rather than something finished. A vine has no single focal point, which is why it reads as continuity. Worn today it suits an anniversary or a graduation, and makes a considered gift for her when the occasion is progress. 💡 925 or 足银 999 – what the stamp actually means

This ring is stamped 足银 999, the Chinese mark for fine silver. 925 (also written S925 or Ag925) is sterling silver: 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% copper added for hardness, which is why it holds a ring shape without bending. 足银 999 is fine silver at 99.9% pure – brighter, softer and warmer in tone. Both are real silver; the difference is durability, not authenticity. We explain the marks in full in our 925 vs S925 guide, and day-to-day care lives on the Silver Care Card.

FAQs

1. Are the stones diamonds?
No, and we would not describe them as such. They are clear zirconia – a bright, hard, man-made stone chosen for exactly this kind of piece. We are open about why we use them in Not All Sparkle Is Diamond.

2. What is the difference between 999 and 925 on a ring like this?
999 is fine silver at 99.9% purity; 925 is sterling at 92.5% with copper added for hardness. Fine silver is whiter and brighter, sterling is more rigid. This ring is 999, so it is at the softer, brighter end. The comparison is set out in our 925 vs S925 guide.

3. How do I keep the zirconia bright?
Skin oils and hand cream dull stones faster than anything else. A soft dry cloth after wear is usually enough. Keep the ring out of showers, pools and ultrasonic cleaners, and take it off before applying lotion – more in JewelCare™.

4. Will the polished finish scratch?
A glossy surface shows fine marks sooner than a matt one, and fine silver is soft, so light surface scratches are normal with wear. They polish out easily – the Silver Care Card covers how.

How to Style the Leaf Vine Ring

The spaced stones mean this ring adds light without reading as a dress ring, so it works on a weekday as easily as an evening. Pair it with a plain slim band to let the vine hold the detail, or wear it alone. Caring for Your 925 Sterling Silver Piece

925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver — a precious metal that develops a natural patina over time. With regular gentle care it stays bright and lustrous for years.

Daily wear Remove before showering, swimming, and exercise where possible
Tarnish Natural and normal — polish with a silver cloth to restore shine
Cleaning Soft silver polishing cloth or mild soap and warm water, dry immediately
Storage Store in an airtight pouch or zip bag — air causes tarnishing
Avoid Chlorine, saltwater, perfume, hairspray, and rubber
