Both arms held straight out and both legs kicked wide, this is the only bear in the collection that is broader than it is tall - 17.8mm across against 16.2mm high, and 5.4mm deep at 3.25g in gold-tone stainless steel. It is a posture with one obvious meaning, and it lands immediately: this bear wants a hug.

The stones are placed rather than scattered. Around 35 clear crystals fill the four paw pads and the soles of the feet, with a scatter across the heart-shaped tummy and two set into the face as eyes - so every point of sparkle marks a place that means something on the body. The rest is left polished, including the smooth muzzle, which keeps the expression readable instead of dissolving into glitter. 1. Are these real diamonds?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. These are clear crystal stones, individually set - the same technique used for fine pave, with a costume stone. The honesty is so you know exactly what you are buying and how to care for it.

2. Why are only the paws set with stones?
Because it draws the eye out along the arms and legs, which is what makes the open pose read at a glance. Setting the whole body would fill in the silhouette and lose the gesture entirely - here the four bright paws mark the corners of the shape.

3. Will the wide shape sit flat on a bracelet?
Yes. It is only 5.4mm deep, so despite the width it lies close rather than standing proud, and the outstretched limbs stop it spinning the way a rounder charm can.

4. Does it react to a magnet?
