Each earring is a plain polished gold ball at the lobe, a single link, and beneath it a long carved fruit of natural white jade measuring 27.5mm in length by roughly 7.3 x 7.2mm through the body. The form tapers and curves to a rounded point, with a small carved calyx of leaves worked at the stem where it meets the gold - the shape used across Chinese jade carving for the lucky fruits. The stone is white and semi-translucent, with the faintest cool lavender cast where the light passes through the thicker part. The pair weighs 6.5 grams in 14k solid gold.
