Roman Numeral Key Charm - Gold Stainless Steel - 12x30.5mm
A Key With the Numerals of a Clock
A long key in gold-tone stainless steel with an open ring for its bow, the rim cut with Roman numerals and set with four small black stones between them. The shaft runs down to a collar and a small toothed bit. It measures 12mm wide by 30.5mm tall, long and narrow.
At 2.05g the weight sits in the ring rather than the shaft, so it hangs straight and swings very little. The reverse repeats the shaft and the collar, and the ring is left plain polished gold on that side - no numerals and no stones.

Choose Charm only to add it to a bracelet you already own. Charm + Clasp adds a small lobster clasp so it clips straight on - no pliers, no open links - and it works just as well on a bag, a zip pull, a keyring or a watch strap. Charm + Gold Bracelet or Charm + Silver Bracelet pairs it with our Gold or Silver Paperclip Chain Bracelet - fine-gauge stainless steel, adjustable from 16cm to 20cm. Bought as a set they cost 30% less than buying separately.
Roman numerals stayed on clock faces and cornerstones for one reason: they read as permanent in a way ordinary digits do not. Putting them round the bow of a key doubles the idea - a mark of time on the object that opens things. Jewellery has borrowed the trick for a century, from watch bezels to date rings. A gift for her marking something she wants to keep. More motif meanings at JewelMotif™ · Watch & read: Ancient Roman Jewellery: How Rome Turned Status Into Symbols
The four black stones sit in shallow bezels round the ring. Water is what works a set stone loose rather than knocks, so keep it out of showers, swimming pools, hot tubs and ultrasonic cleaners, and clean it with a dry soft cloth. Full guidance at our Stainless Steel Care Card and the JewelCare™ hub.
FAQs
1. What are the black stones?
Four small black set stones spaced round the ring between the numerals - decorative stones, not certificated gems.
2. Is the back the same as the front?
Almost. The shaft and collar repeat, but the ring is plain polished gold on the reverse - the numerals and the stones are on the front face only.
3. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the shaft and collar in relief rather than a flat panel.
4. How long is it?
30.5mm from the top of the ring to the tip - long enough to hang below the other charms on a bracelet, which is part of the effect.
5. Does it arrive gift-ready?
Yes - every order is packed to give. See JewelGift™.
How to Style the Roman Numeral Key
Length is its trick, so give it room to hang below its neighbours rather than boxing it in. It pairs with the Vintage Key (IHSMC096) for two very different eras of the same object. Hang it on a DuoTone™ or FortunaLink™ bracelet, browse the whole MiniCharm™ range, or start your stack at JewelBuild™.
