A Sun With a Green Stone For a Face
A round disc in gold-tone stainless steel with a sun worked across it - wavy rays streaming out from the centre and small raised stars scattered below - and a domed green stone set where the sun's face would be. The stone is 5mm across and stands well proud of the disc, which is why the charm measures 3.5mm thick over the stone and only 1.5mm at the rim.
It measures 21.3mm wide by 18mm tall and weighs 2.44g. The reverse carries the same sun in gold relief - rays, stars, and an empty circle where the stone sits on the front - the back of the pressing rather than a second finished face.

1. Why are two thicknesses given?
Because the stone stands proud of the face. The disc itself is 1.5mm thick; measured over the stone it is 3.5mm. That difference is what gives the charm its depth on the wrist.
2. Is the green a gemstone?
It is a 5mm domed green stone set at the centre - a decorative set stone of the kind used across the MiniCharm range, not a certificated gem.
3. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the sun, the rays and the stars in gold relief rather than a flat panel.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
