A Rosette in a Coral Field
A round medallion in gold-tone stainless steel. A pointed rosette radiates from the centre, where a 2.5mm green gem sits in a raised bezel, and the ground around it is worked into a dense branching texture like coral. Beaded lugs finish the top and the bottom, and that is where the 25.5mm height comes from - the medallion itself is a 16.7mm circle.
At 2.47g there is real metal in it, and depth is the point: the rosette stands clear of the textured ground, so the charm reads differently as it turns on the wrist. The reverse carries the rosette and the same texture in gold relief.

1. Why is it 25.5mm tall but only 16.7mm wide?
The beaded lugs at the top and bottom are included in the height. The medallion itself is a 16.7mm circle - the lugs add the rest.
2. Is the green enamel or a stone?
A set stone, 2.5mm across, sitting in a bezel at the centre. There is no enamel on this charm.
3. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the rosette and the coral texture in gold relief rather than a flat panel.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
