A Key That Takes Up No Room
A miniature key in gold-tone stainless steel with a small openwork head of three joined rings, and four green stones set in a line down the shaft. The stones are dark enough to read almost black until light gets into them. It measures 5.3mm wide by 11.4mm tall.
At 0.3g it weighs about as much as a grain of rice, which is what makes it usable on a bracelet that is already full. The reverse is plain polished gold.

1. What colour are the stones?
Green - dark enough to read almost black head-on, and clearly green once light gets into them. There are four, set in a line down the shaft.
2. How small is it?
5.3mm wide by 11.4mm tall and 0.3g. It works as a spacer between bigger charms, or on a fine chain.
3. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse is plain polished gold but there is barely 5mm of it.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
