An Eight-Pointed Star on an Octagon Plate
An octagon, not a circle - eight straight edges with a raised gold-tone rim running right round them. Inside, the face is mirror-polished silver-tone stainless steel, and laid over it a gold eight-pointed star with one clear crystal at its heart. Shorter gold rays fill the gaps between the star's arms and run out to touch the rim, so the whole face reads as light spreading from a single point.
The geometry is what makes it. Because the plate is faceted rather than round, it catches the light in eight separate planes as it turns, and the mirror face behind the star doubles everything. At 3g it is one of the heavier charms in the range and hangs with real weight.
The reverse is completely plain - a clean polished silver octagon with nothing on it at all. It is the best engraving surface in this batch.

The central crystal is glue-set rather than claw-set, so keep the charm out of showers, pools and ultrasonic cleaners - prolonged soaking loosens the adhesive.
