A Small Puffed Moon With a Star Cut Into It
A crescent, rounded and swollen rather than flat, polished to a high shine across the whole front so it behaves like a tiny mirror on the wrist. Set into the upper curve is a single clear crystal, dropped into a collet cut with eight radiating lines - a star, carved into the moon.
That is the whole idea, and it is a good one: the star-and-crescent, made as one object rather than two. At 15.2mm tall it is the smallest of the three moons in this release and the easiest to wear every day - nothing to catch, nothing to chip, just a rounded gold shape and one bright point.
It is the direct partner to the Gem Star (IHSMC047) - same finish, same setting, same hand. Bought together they look like a pair rather than a coincidence.

The star-and-crescent is one of the oldest images humans have kept using, and it is far older than any flag that carries it now - it appears on Mesopotamian boundary stones, on coins of Byzantium, on Sasanian crowns. The crystal is set into a carved collet rather than held by claws, so keep the charm out of showers, pools and ultrasonic cleaners - repeated soaking is what loosens set stones. 2. Is it very small? It is the smallest moon in this release at 15.2mm tall, but it is puffed and 5.3mm deep, so it has more presence than the measurements suggest.
