Classic Standing Cat Charm - The Deco Cat, Drawn in One Line
An upright cat in profile, cast in gold-tone stainless steel and pared back to a single flowing outline - straight back, tucked forepaws, sharp triangular ears, and a long tail that sweeps up and curls into a question mark beside the body. The face carries almond eyes and a fine engraved muzzle, just enough expression to make it a cat rather than a cat shape. It measures 11.5mm wide by 19.3mm tall and 3mm deep at 1.86g.
The styling is deliberately 1920s: this is the Deco cat, all curve and poise, the kind that sat on a mantelpiece in black lacquer. Both faces are modelled, so it reads properly whichever way it turns on the wrist, and the high polish makes the tail's curl catch light as it swings. 1. Is it flat or three-dimensional?
Three-dimensional, but slim - 3mm deep, with both sides modelled rather than one face stamped and the other left blank. It has shape without bulk.
2. Can the back be engraved?
No - the cat is sculpted on both sides, so there is no plain panel to engrave. If you want a name on a charm, choose one of our flat-backed pieces.
3. Is it magnetic?

4. Will the gold colour wear off?
The tone is ion-plated over stainless steel, which is far more durable than thin costume plating. Perfume, chlorine and abrasive polishes are the three things that shorten its life.
5. How does it attach?
It comes on a jump ring, which sits over a chain link or a charm carrier. If you would rather clip it on and off by hand, we can add a small lobster clasp - just ask when you order.
