Classic Heart Key Charm - Gold Stainless Steel - 7.2x19.3mm
A Key With a Heart at Both Ends
A slim key in gold-tone stainless steel with an open heart in place of the usual bow, a plain round shaft, and a small solid heart forming the bit at the tip. Nothing else - no stones, no texture, just the outline. It measures 7.2mm wide by 19.3mm tall.
At 0.75g it barely registers on the wrist, because most of the bow is open air. The same shape is worked on the reverse.

Choose Charm only to add it to a bracelet you already own. Charm + Clasp adds a small lobster clasp so it clips straight on - no pliers, no open links - and it works just as well on a bag, a zip pull, a keyring or a watch strap. Charm + Gold Bracelet or Charm + Silver Bracelet pairs it with our Gold or Silver Paperclip Chain Bracelet - fine-gauge stainless steel, adjustable from 16cm to 20cm. Bought as a set they cost 30% less than buying separately.
The key and the heart were paired long before Valentine's cards got hold of them - seventeenth-century lovers exchanged padlock-and-key tokens, and the key was the half you gave away. That is why a key charm reads as generous rather than possessive: it is the piece that is meant to leave your hands. A gift for her who already has it. No stones and no enamel, so nothing can work loose, and stainless steel does not tarnish, rust or turn skin green. The open heart at the top will trap hand cream where the outline closes - rinse, dry properly, and run a soft dry brush round the inside of the loop occasionally. Full guidance at our Stainless Steel Care Card and the JewelCare™ hub.
FAQs
1. How small is it?
7.2mm wide by 19.3mm tall and 0.75g. It is a light, slim charm rather than a focal one, and it works well on a fine necklace chain.
2. Is anything set into it?
No. It is all metal - the heart at the top is cut open rather than filled.
3. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the same shape as the front and the shaft is only a couple of millimetres wide.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds. Brass and copper are entirely non-magnetic, so a magnetic response actually rules them out. Full explanation in Is Magnetic Stainless Steel Jewellery Fake?.
5. Does it arrive gift-ready?
Yes - every order is packed to give. See JewelGift™.
