Classic Everyday Key Charm - Gold Stainless Steel - 9.3x20mm
The Key You Already Own
A key in gold-tone stainless steel, shaped like the one on your own keyring rather than a decorative one - a plain round head, a flat shaft with a shallow groove down it, and a cut, toothed bit at the end. It measures 9.3mm wide by 20mm tall.
At 1.12g it is light and completely flat at 1.5mm, so it lies against the wrist instead of standing off it. The reverse is plain polished gold, and the round head is flat and unmarked. It comes in gold and in silver.

Choose Charm only to add it to a bracelet you already own. Charm + Clasp adds a small lobster clasp so it clips straight on - no pliers, no open links - and it works just as well on a bag, a zip pull, a keyring or a watch strap. Charm + Gold Bracelet or Charm + Silver Bracelet pairs it with our Gold or Silver Paperclip Chain Bracelet - fine-gauge stainless steel, adjustable from 16cm to 20cm. Bought as a set they cost 30% less than buying separately.
A key is the rare symbol that means the same thing everywhere: access, and the trust that comes with being given it. Roman brides were handed the household keys, and Victorian sweethearts gave key charms to say the same thing more quietly. It is also the only charm on a bracelet that names a person rather than a wish. A gift for her who was given a key that mattered. No stones and no enamel, so nothing can work loose, and stainless steel does not tarnish, rust or turn skin green. The groove down the shaft and the teeth at the tip will hold soap - rinse, dry, and a soft dry cloth keeps the flat faces bright. FAQs
1. Does it look like a real key?
Yes - that is the design. Round head, grooved shaft, cut teeth, the same silhouette as a house key rather than an ornamental one.
2. Is there a silver version?
Yes. The same key in silver-tone stainless steel is IHSMC095, at the same size and weight.
3. Can the back be engraved?
The reverse is flat, plain polished gold, but the round head is only about 9mm across - enough for a single initial at most, not a date.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds. Brass and copper are entirely non-magnetic, so a magnetic response actually rules them out. Full explanation in Is Magnetic Stainless Steel Jewellery Fake?.
5. Does it arrive gift-ready?
Yes - every order is packed to give. See JewelGift™.
How to Style the Everyday Key
Flat and slim, so it disappears into a stack rather than fighting it. Worn as a pair with the silver version (IHSMC095) it reads deliberately, like two keys on a ring. Hang it on a DuoTone™ or FortunaLink™ bracelet, browse the whole MiniCharm™ range, or start your stack at JewelBuild™.
