Three Prongs and a Shaft
A trident in gold-tone stainless steel - three prongs rising from a crossbar, the outer two swept out and barbed, the centre one straight and pointed, on a shaft that tapers to a spike. It measures 9.3mm wide by 16.6mm tall.
At 0.62g it is barely there on the wrist. The piece is modelled rather than cut from sheet, so it keeps its shape from either side, with the reverse left plain and smooth.

1. Is it a trident or a devil's fork?
Both readings work - it is the same shape. Poseidon carried a trident, and the devil's pitchfork in European art is the same three-pronged form.
2. How light is it?
0.62g. It is one of the pieces you stop noticing you are wearing.
3. What is on the back?
Plain smooth gold, following the same trident outline. There is no pattern on the reverse.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
