A Cratered Gold Moon With Three Coloured Stars
The crescent itself is the best part. Rather than a smooth cut-out, the gold-tone surface is worked all over with craters and ridges - dips, bumps, small raised rings - so it genuinely reads as the moon rather than as a moon shape. The texture carries round to the reverse, so it looks the same whichever way it turns.
Sitting on that surface are three enamel stars, hand-filled in turquoise, hot pink and neon green, each one a soft rounded five-point rather than a sharp geometric star, and each holding a small clear crystal at its centre. The stone in the green star is set deeper than the other two, so it reads as gold in most light and only catches when the charm turns.
At 24.2mm tall this is the biggest of the three moons in this release, and by some distance the most playful thing we have made. It is a charm for someone who likes colour and is not trying to be subtle about it.

Until 1609 nobody knew the moon had a surface. It was assumed to be a perfect polished sphere, because the heavens were supposed to be perfect - and then Galileo pointed a homemade telescope at it, drew what he actually saw, and published sketches of a world full of pits and mountains. It was one of the most quietly destabilising pictures ever printed: the perfect thing in the sky turned out to be scarred all over, and was no less beautiful for it. The crystals are glue-set rather than claw-set, so keep the charm out of showers, pools and ultrasonic cleaners - prolonged soaking loosens the adhesive. Coloured enamel is more sensitive to solvents than plain white: keep perfume, nail varnish remover and alcohol hand gel off it, as those are what dull the colour over time.
