The Smallest Thing We Make
A miniature shield-shaped tag in gold-tone stainless steel - straight at the top and shoulders, curving to a soft round base. On the face, an eight-pointed star holding a single clear crystal at its centre, and one more smaller crystal set low on the left. It measures 5.6mm wide by 8.5mm tall and 1.2mm thick.
At 0.35g it is the lightest charm in the JewelHub range by a clear margin. On a bracelet already carrying four or five pieces, this is the one you can add without the stack starting to swing - and on a fine chain it is small enough to read as a detail rather than a pendant.

Putting a star on a shield is one of the oldest combinations in heraldry, and the two halves do different jobs. The shield is the older idea by far - a bounded field that says this is mine and it is defended. The star, called a mullet in blazon, was granted as a mark of the third son, but long outside heraldry it meant what it still means: a fixed point to steer by when nothing else is fixed. Both crystals are glue-set, and on a charm this small the cups are shallower than usual - so showers, swimming pools, hot tubs and ultrasonic cleaners are all off-limits, since they attack the adhesive rather than the stone. 1. How small is it really?
5.6mm wide by 8.5mm tall - roughly the size of a grain of rice, and 0.35g on the scale. It is the lightest and smallest charm we make, and it is meant to be a detail rather than a focal point.
2. Can the back be engraved?
Technically it is a plain flat polished gold panel, but at 5.6 by 8.5mm there is not room for anything a person could read. For engraving, the Pave Arch (IHSMC069) in this release has a proper flat face.
3. Are these diamonds?
No. Two clear crystals - glue-set rhinestones, one at the centre of the star and one smaller below it. Not diamonds, not cubic zirconia.
4. Is it too light to feel like anything?
It is genuinely feather-light, and that is the reason to buy it rather than a drawback. If you want weight in the hand this is not the piece - but nothing else in the range lets you add a stone-set charm to a full bracelet without noticing it.
