Crystal Mini Moon Charm - Gold Stainless Steel - 5.5x10.2mm
Half a Gram, and Still Pave-Set
This is the smallest thing we make. The crescent is 10.2mm from tip to tip and 5.5mm across - about the width of a grain of rice - and it weighs 0.53g, which is roughly a third of any other charm in the range. You can hold it on a fingertip and barely feel it.
What makes it worth having at that size is that nobody cut a corner on it. The inner face carries around eleven clear crystals, hand-set in two loose rows that follow the curve, and the outer edge is left as a smooth polished gold ridge so the whole thing still catches light as a shape and not just as glitter. Setting stones this small into a crescent this narrow is fiddly work, and it is the reason a mini charm usually ends up plain instead.
The reverse is smooth polished gold, unbroken and unmarked. Too small to engrave, but it means the charm reads as finished from either side when it turns.

Choose Charm only to add it to a bracelet you already own. Charm + Clasp adds a small lobster clasp so it clips straight on - no pliers, no open links - and it works just as well on a bag, a zip pull, a keyring or a watch strap. Charm + Gold Chain or Charm + Silver Chain pairs it with our Gold or Silver Paperclip Chain Bracelet - fine-gauge stainless steel, adjustable from 16cm to 20cm. Bought as a set they cost 30% less than buying separately. Prefer to choose your own base? Build the whole stack at JewelBuild™.
A crescent this fine has a name and a job. It is the first sliver visible after the moon goes dark, and for most of human history seeing it was how you knew a new month had started - the Islamic calendar still turns on that sighting, and the Hebrew one did the same. People climbed hills and waited at dusk for it, because until somebody saw it, the month had not begun. That is a lot of meaning to hang on the smallest charm in the range: not the full moon, not the showy one, but the thin new curve that says something is starting. A gift for her at a beginning too quiet to announce. More motif meanings at JewelMotif™
Eleven glue-set crystals on a 10mm charm means the settings are tiny, so keep it out of showers, pools and ultrasonic cleaners - soaking is what loosens set stones, and on a piece this small a missing one shows. Do not use jewellery dip. A soft dry cloth, or a soft dry brush along the rows. Full guidance at our Stainless Steel Care Card and the JewelCare™ hub.
FAQs
1. Is it too small to notice? On its own, possibly. Beside a larger charm it does exactly what a small bright thing should - it fills the gap and stops the stack looking blocky. Look at the in-hand photo before you decide.
2. Are the stones real diamonds? No - they are clear crystals, glue-set. Around eleven of them; at this size the count varies very slightly piece to piece.
3. How does it compare to the Pave Moon? IHSMC054 is the same idea at nearly twice the height and three times the weight. This is the miniature. They look good hung together as a big-and-small pair.
4. Will the gold tone wear off? The colour is plated onto stainless steel, which does not rust or turn skin green. Keep it dry and away from perfume.
5. Does it arrive gift-ready? Yes - every order is packed to give. See JewelGift™.
How to Style the Mini Moon
Use it as punctuation. A stack of three big charms with one tiny bright crescent between them looks composed; four big charms in a row looks crowded. It is also the easiest charm here to wear on a fine necklace chain without the chain sagging, because at half a gram there is nothing to pull on. Hang it on a FortunaLink™ bracelet, browse the whole MiniCharm™ range, or start your stack at JewelBuild™.
