A rectangular plate in two-tone stainless steel, framed by a silver beaded border, with a gold almond eye set at the centre and gold rays fanning out above and below it like lashes. A single clear crystal sits in the pupil. It measures 13.7mm wide by 21.3mm tall and 2mm thick.

1. Is the stone a diamond?
No. It is a clear crystal - a glue-set rhinestone, not a diamond and not cubic zirconia. One only, at the centre of the eye.
2. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the eye and rays in silver relief, so there is no flat panel. The Snake Oval Plate (IHSMC073) has the mirror back for engraving.
3. What does the evil eye protect against?

4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
