Crystal Bow Bear Charm - A Teddy in Miniature, Set in Gold

Where our gummy bear is chunky and three-dimensional, this one is a flat, finely drawn teddy - 16mm tall by 12mm wide and only 2mm thick, so it lies close against the skin and slips under a cuff without catching. Each crystal sits in its own beaded claw setting inside a raised gold outline, and a tiny sculpted bow ties at the throat. At 1.6g in gold-tone stainless steel, it is light enough to wear on the finest chain without dragging it out of shape.

The bow is what makes it a teddy rather than a bear - the small human gesture of having dressed the animal up, the same instinct that puts a ribbon on a gift. No, and we would rather say so plainly. These are clear crystal stones, individually set into beaded claws - the same technique used for fine pave, with a costume stone. The effect is genuinely bright; the honesty is so you know exactly what you are buying and how to care for it.

2. My charm reacts slightly to a magnet - is it still stainless steel?
Yes, and the pull is actually evidence in its favour. Copper and brass - the metals people worry about in costume jewellery - are completely non-magnetic, so any magnetic response rules them out. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies; that ferrite is what your magnet is finding. 3. How does it attach?
It comes on a 4mm jump ring, which sits over a chain link or a charm carrier. If you would rather have it ready to clip on and off by hand, we can add a small lobster clasp - just ask when you order.
