A Gold Spiral on a Pebbled Silver Star
The body is silver-tone stainless steel worked all over with a raised pebble texture - hundreds of small rounded bumps running out along all five arms, exactly the way a real starfish is covered. The arms themselves are uneven, one longer, one curling, none of them symmetrical, which is what stops the piece looking like a decal.
Set across the centre is a gold-tone spiral, coiling in on itself like a shell. It is the only smooth surface on the front, and against all that texture it reads as the still point of the whole design. At 22.6mm tall this is one of the largest charms in the MiniCharm range - a hero piece rather than a filler.

1. Is the back plain? Not blank - but not a second finished face either. The starfish is cast in one piece, so the same pebbled texture and the same spiral come through on the reverse. They are in plain silver there, because the gold is applied to the front only.
2. Does it work on a gold bracelet or a silver one? Both. That is the advantage of a two-tone piece - it is the charm that lets you mix metals without it looking accidental.
3. Are there any stones? None. This one is entirely metal and texture.
4. Is it heavy for its size? No - 1.43g. It is large but thin, so it hangs flat and does not drag on a fine chain.
5. Will the gold spiral wear off? It is plated onto stainless steel and sits raised above the surface. Keep it away from abrasives and it holds.
