A Serpent Down a Hammered Plate
A rectangular tag in two-tone stainless steel, the whole face beaten into a deep hammered texture in silver-tone with a gold snake winding down the length of it in a double curve. The edges are left irregular rather than trimmed square, so the plate reads as hand-worked. It measures 15mm wide by 25mm tall.
At 25mm tall and 2.85g it has real presence, but because it is only 2mm thick it still hangs flat against the wrist instead of standing off it. The hammering is cast into the metal rather than applied, so it will not wear smooth.

Deep hammering traps hand cream and soap in a way a polished surface does not, and on a two-tone piece that dulls the contrast between the gold snake and the silver ground first. Rinse in warm water, dry properly, and work a soft dry brush across the texture rather than a polishing cloth, which only rides over the high points. 1. Can the back be engraved?
No. The reverse carries the hammering and the snake in silver relief, so there is no flat panel. The Snake Oval Plate (IHSMC073) is the engravable one - same motif, mirror back.
2. Is 25mm too big for a bracelet?
It is a statement piece rather than a filler. At only 2mm thick it lies flat, which is what stops it feeling unwieldy - but on a stack it wants plainer neighbours.
3. Are there any stones?
None. All metal.
4. It reacts slightly to a magnet - is that a problem?
No. Cast stainless steel normally contains a small amount of ferrite, deliberately, because it stops the metal cracking as it solidifies - that is what a magnet finds.
